Palset is a program which sets up all seventeen palettes on the enhanced
color card ( Enhanced Graphics Adapter), to my knowledge it uses DOS functions
properly as Underground discussion suggests will be recommended by IBM
Corporation when it sees fit in its Corporate Wisdom to release documentation.
Syntax is: PALSET NHH,NHH,NHH,NHH,OHH etc.

, indicates another palette color change is coming (MUST BE USED)
N is any hex digit (0-F) to indicate the desired palette number.
O means the overscan or border ( letter o )
HH is the color to be used (MUST be 2 digits - see below for colors - note
that 8 to F are NORMALLY high intensity versions of 0 to 7 but that the
EGA must have a 1 put in to get high intensity in some way not
yet understood by me. ie A is bright green on regular card but on the EGA
bright green is 1A or 12 - similar for 0E and 1E or 16 etc.
I suspect that it has to do with the fact that when operating with
a regular monitor the card ignores bits to define other colors and just
uses those which define the standard set of 8, then it looks to the high
digit and looks only at the 1 bit to pick high intensity.
Feel free to try other combinations I just received the Enhanced Display
and am having a great time setting special colors. Heaven only knows how
the colors are determined.
This program is particularly good for use with the 3278/79 emulation to get
some decent colors on the screen, set up and use BAT files for your colors.
Please note that after the help display all colors are reset to what is
standard on the regular color card.
Following is the standard palette color set and the numbers which describe
them

Sample command ( Easiest to use from a batch file as remembering colors

PALSET 001,212,717,916,o01
to set up the palettes to get decent colors with the 3278/79 emulate
card - change as desired to have different colors in place of standard.
This says change 0 or Black background to 01 or Blue background
2 or Dark Green to 12 or Light Green
7 or White * to 17 or High intensity White
9 or Light Blue ** to 16 or Light Yellow
o or Overcan (Border) to 01 or Blue border
* It is called White but it is really a Dull White
